To use this chart below, for example if you have a 8" Balancer with a 10-Degree mark from the key way center line and want to use it with a timing cover with a 30-Degree timing tag, then using the table below in the DEGREES / 10 to 30 column you will see for a 8-inch balancer you need to measure 1.3962-inches counter-clock-wise from the timing mark on your 10-Degree balancer and this will be the location of the new 30-Degree timing mark from keyway Center Line timing mark. |

NOTE: The best way to measure the distance on the balancer is to mark off the distance on a piece of masking tape with a set of calipers and place it on the outer surface of the balancer alining it with the original TDC timing mark and this will be a little more accurate. If you note that .069-inch is a degree on a 8-inch balancer and the timing notch in the balancer is almost a degree wide so time should be taken to get this right.
