When installing a 3.750-inch Crankshaft into a 350-CID block to build the 383-CID engine care should be taken in the areas indicated in Fig. 42.12 . Most likely you will need a Small Base Circle camshaft to get the proper rod to camshaft clearance. Some clearance for the rod nut can be gained by installing 12-point nuts and or grinding clearance in the block
